The world of science has revealed that our minds think in pictures. The world of peak performance teaches us that choosing to see the pictures we want to see may be one of the most significant things we can do to experience what we want.
One of the first things I do every morning, even before I get out of bed, is to establish my intentions for the day. Not only do I think about what I want, but I also make a point to visual it. I pray in pictures by allowing my imagination to give my mind detailed pictures of what I want to experience during my day.
By praying for what I want to see, I actually begin to see it. As I begin to see it, I am able to act upon what I am starting to see. As I take actions that align me with what I want, what I want begins to become real. Finally, as what I want begins to become real, my conscious mind begins to agree with my unconscious mind about my experiences and about what is possible.
The more I act in accordance with the imagery I have fed my mind with, the more validation I receive from the outside that what I have seen, is.
Whether I am praying for myself or I am praying for others, I pray with no attachment to the outcome. You cannot accumulate negative karma when you choose to see the best in yourself or in others. While there is something to be said about creating false expectations based on someone’s potential, we will save that topic for another article!
Back to praying in pictures; I know that what I want wants me too, and so I choose to have fun with the process. I give myself permission to be where I am and know that praying in pictures and taking inspired actions will allow me to act as if this will result in me getting to where I want to go.
I trust that everything is working in my favor for my highest good — and the greatest good — especially when I do not understand why I am attracting what I am or when nothing seems to be happening!
I remind myself that it is often when nothing actually seems to be happening that so much is happening behind the scenes. Instead of getting frustrated, I get excited because I know that I am doing everything I can to make it so.
I receive every experience throughout the day as being direct feedback from The Universe. If things do not seem to be working out the way I want them to, I reflect:
What was I asking for in the first place?
Why did I want that?
Was I in a favorable environment?
Was I in an open, resourceful state?
What was I shown?
What can I do?
By asking just one of these questions, I’m often led to greater clarity.
Praying in pictures and taking inspired action is the simplest formula for achieving solid results. Obviously, if all of this works for me and is fully backed by science and Universal Law, I encourage my loved ones and clients to do the same! It is a beautiful way to maintain a personal and meaningful relationship with the Divine and your highest self. It will keep you on purpose and at cause for your experiences, while making your life much more enjoyable.
